Answer: The model number is KHT240-07. I don't know if it is the latest model, but it was the one I found at Lowes. It works very well and uses the same 40V battery as my weed wacker. -

Answer: I would keep 40V with 40V devices and 80V with 80V devices. My 40V 2.5amp battery works great with this trimmer and 40V weed eater. I bought two batteries so one can charge if depleted before the job is done. My wife loves these battery-operated tools. -

I don't need the whole trimmer, just the front handle with the guard to hold the trimmer steady.
