    Answer: High quality Arabica and Robusta coffee beans are used.
  • Question: What is the recommended roast intensity for this coffee?

    Answer: Medium roast with an intensity of 5 out of 9.
  • Question: How many cups can be made from a 250g pack?

    Answer: Approximately 40 cups.
  • Question: What's the best way to make this coffee if it loses flavor in a regular coffee maker?

    Answer: I have a Bunn coffee maker and it is brewed faster than a regular coffee maker and I do not lose any flavor. If this is your 1st time drinking the coffee, it is mild and has no bitter taste. Just like cold brew coffee.
  • Question: How many cups of coffee will a 17.6 ounce bag make?

    Answer: At 2 tablespoons per cup (0.36 oz), it will make about 50 cups. More if you like a weak brew and less if you like it strong.
  • Question: What is the difference between the Aroma Rood and Breakfast Blend?

    Answer: I do not really know if there was much difference. Sorry, I can't help.
  • Question: I recently bought a package of Douwe Egbert Aroma Rood, but it arrived as a solid brick. What am I supposed to do with it?

    Answer: The 'brick' is just vacuum packed finely ground coffee. I would suggest having an airtight container to pour it into, then store it in a cool place like any other coffee.
  • Question: How do you store the brick after it's opened?

    Answer: The coffee tastes best up to 2 weeks after opening if you store it cool and dry in the closed, original packaging. The packaging is designed to retain the taste. Store the coffee in a cool and dark place, with as little oxygen as possible and away from the smell of other food (not in the fridge!).
  • Question: What are the brewing instructions and quantity of coffee per cup, as the package is in Dutch?

    Answer: I use the ground coffee. I make 8 cups of water (6oz size cup) with my scoop from Mr. Coffee. I try to measure 1 scoop (about 1 heaping tablespoon), but I use 5 of my scoops for 8 cups of water. It comes out perfect! ENJOY.
  • Question: Does this coffee have the slight nutty taste that the restaurant blend has?

    Answer: I think it is the best coffee I've ever had. It is very smooth and rich without a bitter taste. I wouldn't say it was nutty.
  • Question: Does it come in K-cups?

    Answer: I use my K-cup, put the grounds in and make it.
  • Question: How well does this coffee pair with a stroopwafel?

    Answer: I would assume any hot beverage, including Douwe Egberts coffee, would pair well with a crisp stroopwafel.

Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood Ground Coffee is a good coffee with a normal coffee taste. It may not taste like the restaurant version that some customers are familiar with. The coffee is finely ground and can be brewed using the usual method of scoops per cup. However, some customers may find the package size smaller than expected.
