The KBS Coatings 57001 Gloss Black Frame Coater Kit is a system used for prepping and painting an entire car or truck frame. Users can brush, roll, or spray the paint and it can be topped with any opaque paint system. Customers can choose from the three provided methods of top-coating to see what works best for them. The product is Considered best for surfaces not exposed to direct UV light. It seals and provides excellent rust protection properties, but direct UV light can cause cosmetic alterations. This kit may be used on nuts and bolts, but the paint will come off when loosened in the future. It is excellent to be used on the inside surfaces of a car after ample air flow for at least 24 hours. The reviews of the product are mixed. A customer used it on his 20-year old Warn M12 winch and had problems with bubbles, runs, and drips, finding the result not to be attractive. He attributed this to high humidity and does not recommend this for any place where decent appearance is needed. In contrast, another customer used it on his freshly sandblasted subframe and claimed it looked great initially but experienced bubbling on the next day.
