Answer: I used thicker and longer drywall screws and drilled one in to the stud instead of using the anchor and screws that come with it. It holds well. -

Answer: The set I purchased in Nov 2020 were only keyed the one way to allow hanging upright like: |___| -

Answer: Yes, they can hold regular sized DVDs and blu-ray discs. I currently have all of my daughters DVDs on these shelves and my xbox games. -

Answer: No, they can only hold a few books at best. Maybe a small computer monitor if you use your own hooks and screws and really get it into a stud in the wall. -

Answer: They come with anchors, but some customers found them ineffective and used thicker and longer drywall screws and drilled them into the stud. -
