In the description it says this is metal? Is that true?
Answer: No it’s is plastic -
Question:
How do you attach a pipe to the wye part? Seems like there’s no room for the pipe coming in to screw into the wye. The “crotch” area is too small.
Answer: You use a ferncoat which reduces down to fit into the smaller diameter. There are all different sizes. A ferncoat is rubberized reducer. -

Answer: There is just enough room for the 2 lines to attach in the crook of the Wye, they snap in just like a single attachment. I also duct taped my connection and had room enough for that, hope this answers your concerns.
