Answer: Heat resistant for sure. Portofilter is going to be pretty warm when you set it on there. I've never had any issues. I've also spoiled 200 degree liquid on it with no issue. I wouldn't try to put it in the oven though. -

will this work with a rounded edge counter?
Answer: I have laminate counter tops with a rounded edge (think of a big C). It does NOT work well with this type of counter. I took it out of the box, set it in front of my machine and it was not stable. I had to return it. -
