Answer: You can try using a 3X5 white paper note card trim out the two ends and leave a tab in the center the size of the flash head to bounce the light to your subject. This gives a large, diffused light on your subject softening it tremendously. -

The Fotasy Soft Universal Cloth Flash Bounce Diffuser Cap is an excellent product for new photographers or those on a budget looking for a quick and easy solution. It provides a nice, soft light for both on and off-camera flashes. Unlike the bulkier speedlight diffusers, these soft caps make it easier to get closer for macro work and fold up nicely for storage and transport. The white fabric has one side that is silver on the inside that helps to bounce the light to the front. The cap is universal for any flash on the market and can even fit over a flash with a round head. However, some customers did have some issues with the product. One reviewer received a cap with small cut hairpieces on and inside the diffuser bag. Another reviewer only received one cap instead of the two they purchased. One reviewer stated that they tested the caps with the flash and without, and it did not diffuse the light at all.
