The fittings come with a protective plastic thread-end cap, which the reviewer found to be a nice touch. However, another reviewer mentions that the threads were difficult to clean, which may not be ideal for sanitary food and beverage applications. The quality of the fittings was deemed good, but some reviewers expected the head size to be slightly bigger, making it impossible to use a sealing washer underneath. One reviewer suspected that the fittings were made of fake stainless steel since an earth magnet did not stick to them. They also claimed that the product received was different from the one pictured. Another customer needed the fittings for a small drain hole on their hydraulic reservoir but could not find them in big box stores or hardware stores, making this product the perfect solution. However, another reviewer found that half of the fittings they installed bottomed out before the threads could seal, making them unreliable. They switched to another manufacturer's square head plugs, which worked perfectly.
