Though it is not possible to remove the lubricant without reducing the socket's resistance to rust, its performance remains unaffected. The socket set contains metric sockets, and they are made of 50BV30 Cr-V steel. The range of 6-24mm makes it perfect for a typical DIYer, and having everything in 3/8 saves time and space. The set does not include the 6" extension shown in the Pictures, but it is still a good set.
