Can alkaline batteries be recharged using the flex charge feature?
Answer: No, only the rechargeable battery pack can be charged. -

What is the runtime for the high and low settings?
Answer: The runtime is 2.15 hours for high and 11 hours for low. -

Does the headlamp come with accessories?
Answer: Yes, it includes a Li-Ion battery pack, 3 x standard AAA alkaline batteries, hardhat clips, USB charging cord, AC and DC adapters. -

How do you change the batteries?
Answer: Tilt the light forward away from the strap bracket. Just about the word “Coast” is a clip. Put your thumb nail under this clip and pull up while pulling back on the strap bracket. It should open. -

How do you lock the headlamp from turning on in your bag?
Answer: The power switch is a recessed button on the upper edge of the headlamp that requires a fair amount of pressure to turn on. Chances of if being turned on by accident in a bag would be very slim. -

Why do some people prefer a 700 lumen say over a 530 lumen? Besides the one is brighter.
Answer: Lower lumen, longer battery life. Higher lumen, longer beam distance. For example, I work in dark places where your personal work light is often your only work light. If I'm down in a hole for multiple days I use a head lamp appropriate to my task and the quantity of batteries I have available. -

Answer: Yes, it tilts forward. -

Answer: Although Coast is based in Portland, OR there is information I can find discussing where the products are sourced from or where they may he assembled. -

Answer: It uses micro usb. -
Question:
Will this head lamp work great working under houses? Going to school for Heating and Air
Answer: I bought the coast HL7 with 300 lumens output and use 3 AA batteries. The AA batteries have twice the capacity of the AAA so you will find being under houses all day you want the batteries to last (use duracell rechargeables). Good luck with heating and air. More science to it than anyone realizes. Easy to graduate school, its another thing to measure air flow and calculate btu's and then figure out why nothing works the way it should (answer:poor install, crap equipment) -

Can I get a charging cord?
Answer: Yes you can. You can use a standard android charging cable which is a micro usb along with a usb wall plug(adapter)
