What is the width of the bar?
Answer: The width of the bar is 24.5 inches end to end. Between inside edges of bracket cylinder where bar slides into is 19 inches. 21.5 inches from inside bracket brace if bracket is at far ends of bar. -

Can this be shortened?
Answer: Yes, it could be cut shorter. -
Question:
Is it strong enough to be used as a pull up bar?
Answer: Yes, but I would not recommend doing that. If too close to the wall or ceiling, the bar can move. -

Is the bar white or silver?
Answer: The bar is satin silver (grayish). -
Question:
Can the pole be permanently mounted in the brackets? My wife and I want something to pull on when stretching.
Answer: Yes. You can see in the picture there are holes in the brackets in front. You can drill through the holes into the pole and use the provided screws to attach the bar to the brackets. -
Question:
Can you mount them outdoors?
Answer: They are powder coated and designed for indoors. If you mount them outside, the powder coating may eventually wear off. -
Question:
Can this be used for barre exercises? Is it strong enough to pull off the barre when securely mounted into studs on the wall?
