The lamp can take 2-3 hours to warm up for the first time and can sometimes take longer to start flowing. However, this time will decrease with use, and it is still an extremely active lava lamp due to its bottle size. The lamp makes no clicking sounds, and its power lead is 2 meters long. It is easy to change the bulb in the Neo lava lamp, and users can purchase new lava sections from the Mathmos website. The Mathmos Neo is a bit pricey, but it is well worth the money for its quality and beautiful design. The lava shapes that form when the lamp is turned on are mesmerising to watch. Mathmos is an excellent company to deal with, and their customer service is top-notch. When Amazon sent one customer the wrong colour, Mathmos sent the right product the next day, which is quite impressive. However, another customer received a defective lamp and had a frustrating experience returning it.
